I have visited here twice now both with my parents and my partner. Each time I have seen such a varied display of wildlife. I would hugely recommend this nature reserve as a day out - its only £2 entry for adults so is a very affordable day out. You can walk around the reserve and check under their various small mammal surveys. Look out for the aluminium covers and lift them up and you might be lucky enough to see a field mouse like on my first visit. As well as being able to explore the reserve they also have bird hides. If you stay nice and quiet you never know what you might see.
Whilst in one of the hides I was lucky enough to spot both a female and male greater spotted woodpecker, a peasant, squirrels, many garden birds and to my surprise a sparrowhawk! Right in front of my face I was able to experience a sparrowhawk hunting. The speed and agility that this bird possesses is magnificent. Although unfortunately because of this I was unable to get a picture.
Now grab your camera and binoculars and go visit this nature reserve in Horsham to see this amazing wildlife for yourselves.
